Volunteer Benefits
- Opportunity to request a letter of recommendation.
- Certificate of service.
- $150 honorarium (for minimum 10 hours service)
- Invitation to a volunteer appreciation event.
Volunteer Roles
Thrive Ambassador

Purpose: Help promote Thrive Week activities and encourage student participation.
Responsibilities:
- Share information with students about Thrive Week.
- Help facilitate Thrive Week activities.
Ideal Candidate:
- Friendly, reliable, and organized.
- Comfortable speaking with others..
Peer Supporter

Purpose: Provide confidential, non-clinical support to students using lived experience and peer connection.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with students seeking support.
- Provide emotional support and information about campus resources.
- Promote mental health resources through events and information tables.
Requirements:
- Application and interview
- Attend mandatory virtual training every Tuesday evening from Oct. 20 to Nov. 24.
Ideal Candidate:
- Passion for supporting student well-being.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Advisory Group Member

Purpose: Help shape mental health and well-being initiatives at RRC Polytech.
Responsibilities:
- Attend three two-hour meetings (November, January, and March).
- Share perspectives and ideas.
- Help develop strategies that support a healthy campus community.
Ideal Candidate:
- Communicates ideas clearly.
- Interested in mental health and well-being.
- Creative thinker and problem solver.
Student Intramural Coordinator
(Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, Futsal or Other)

Purpose: Help organize and run weekly recreational sport.
Responsibilities:
- Promote intramurals to students.
- Assist with registration.
- Support game setup and takedown.
- Facilitate gameplay, encouraging participation by students of all abilities and experience levels.
Ideal Candidate:
- Values inclusion.
- Enjoys recreational sport.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
