The Exchange District Campus is nestled in the heart of downtown Winnipeg and is home to RRC’s creative arts, IT, culinary arts and hospitality programs. Featuring modern classrooms, relaxing study spaces, and state-of the-art equipment, the Exchange District Campus also has a wide variety of services and amenities, applied research labs and two student-run dining options, Jane’s and the Culinary Exchange.

The campus is comprised of several sites:

  • The Roblin Centre (160 Princess St.) – home to our business, creative arts, and IT programs, as well as our downtown bookstore, library and fitness centre.
  • Paterson GlobalFoods Institute (504 Main St.) – home to our hospitality and culinary arts programs and our 100-room student residence.
  • ACE Project Space (321 McDermot Ave.) – a place where RRC’s IT students work with entrepreneurs-in-residence on new technologies, product development, and pushing innovation to the edge.
  • Elgin Building (319 Elgin Ave.)

Hours of Operation

Students have access to the Roblin Centre and Paterson GlobalFoods Institute seven days a week with the only exception being over the Christmas holidays when reduced hours of access are posted on entrance doors.

The Roblin Centre

  • Monday to Friday – 7am to 7:30pm
  • Saturday – 8:00am to 1:30pm
  • Sunday and Holidays – Closed (student and staff card access only)
NOTE: Students and staff can access the fitness centre daily from 6am to 9:45pm with their student or staff card.

Paterson GlobalFoods Institute

  • Monday to Friday – 7am to 7:30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday – 8am to 4pm
  • Holidays – Closed (student and staff card access only)
NOTE: Students living in residence at PGI have 24-hour swipe card access.

After-hours Access

In order to access the Roblin Centre and the Paterson GlobalFoods Institute outside of regular hours, students and staff are required to access the building via card swipe and register with security. Card readers are located at both the north and south Atrium doors at the Roblin Centre and at the Main Street entrance at the Paterson GlobalFoods Institute. All students must leave the campus by midnight.

Students requesting access to facilities such as labs or computer labs must have authorization from their instructor and advise security.
