All RRC Polytech’s full-time programs require that you submit a formal application. Here are the different types of application processes according to the type of admission associated to each program:

Regular Admission

First come, first served.

The majority of RRC Polytech programs fall under this category as applications are accepted year-round for these specific programs. Offers for these programs are made in sequential order of application date. You’re encouraged to apply and submit the required documentation as early as you are eligible.

For most programs, you may apply while enrolled in the required high school and/or post-secondary courses if you are able to submit:

  • An interim transcript confirming enrollment in the required courses within 30 days of applying
  • A final transcript by July 15 or the deadline specified in your admission letter

Some programs require successful completion of the required courses and submission of a final transcript within 30 days of applying. It’s important to review your program’s admission requirements for further details.

Regular Admission Programs

All full-time programs, except the programs listed under the Competitive Admission and Joint Post-Secondary Admission categories below, have a regular admission process.

Competitive Admission

Applications ranked according to program-related criteria.

Several programs offered by RRC Polytech follow a competitive admission process. These programs have an annual application deadline and offer of admittance are made to qualified applicants based on program-specific requirements. Each program has a set of criteria for ranking applications. Examples of criteria may include: a portfolio score, Adjusted Grade Point Average (AGPA) and Casper. Please ensure to review your program’s admission requirements for further details on what is required.

All available seats are offered in descending criteria order until filled. Not all applicants who meet admission requirements will be offered a seat. Applicants who meet the admission requirements but do not receive an offer of admittance may re-apply for a future program intake by submitting a new application, paying the application fee and meeting up-to-date admission requirements.

Joint Post-Secondary Admission

Apply through the University of Winnipeg.

RRC Polytech offers a number of joint programs with the University of Winnipeg. These programs require you to submit your application directly to the University of Winnipeg.
