Funding Your Education

We’re dedicated to ensuring that financial barriers don’t hinder your educational aspirations. Let’s work together to make your RRC Polytech journey a reality. Here are a few ways you can plan to fund your post-secondary education as you get ready to apply.

Funding Sources

There are several strategies you can explore to pay for your education:

  • Personal Funds: Your existing savings, investments, and gifts can contribute to your educational expenses.
  • Registered Savings Plans: Check if your family is investing in a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) to support your education financially.
  • Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP): Utilize your RRSP for educational funding if applicable.
  • Employment: Part-time and summer jobs provide an opportunity to save for your education gradually.
  • Bursaries and Scholarships: Pursue bursaries and scholarships that you don’t need to repay, giving you a head start on managing educational costs.
  • Community Organizations and Funding Programs: Explore additional avenues such as community organizations, band funding, training, and employment services to supplement your financial resources.

Exploring Manitoba Student Aid

Manitoba residents can benefit from the Manitoba Student Aid program, a combined federal and provincial initiative that offers essential financial support for post-secondary education expenses. As an RRC Polytech student, you’re eligible to apply for this program, provided you’re a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have Protected Person status.
