Youth Initiatives

Youth Camps

RRC Polytech offers a variety of in-person camps for kids in Winnipeg and all across Manitoba that are fun and engaging and teach lifelong skills.

Get Creative!

The camps are centred on tech, creativity, culture and business and are run by friendly, experienced instructors who will keep your kids engaged for hours.

These camps are for youth ages 9-14 and run in July.

Seats for each camp are very limited so register early!

Summer Camps

Budding Business Leaders: An Entrepreneurship Camp

This camp is perfect for the budding entrepreneur. Campers will develop a product from idea to minimal viable product, going through a design sprint. Ages 9-11, 12-14.

Design Your Dream Room Camp

In collaboration with IKEA, campers will learn the basics of interior decorating and room layout under the guidance of an RRC Polytech interior decorating professional. Bring your imagination and let the skills and tools provided bring your ideas to life. Ages 12-14.

Girls Exploring Trades and Technology Camp

GETT an introduction to applied skills and technology careers available for girls with this camp that reinforces science, advanced math and industrial arts skills. Ages 12-14.

Indigenous Cultural Exploration Camp

Campers will be guided through experiential learning while incorporating Indigenous cultural activities. Activities will include drumming, singing, Indigenous crafts and visiting RRC Polytech’s Medicine Wheel Garden. Ages 9-11.

Out and About Photography Camp

Join this unique creative experience to explore landscapes, portraits and nature through the lens. Campers will learn about composition, posing, exposure and light control under the direction of a Master Professional Photographer.  Ages 12-14.

Sweet Treats Baking Camp 

Welcome to the Sweet Treats Baking Camp, where young bakers can indulge their passion for cookies and cupcakes! This delightful camp is designed to inspire creativity in the kitchen while learning basic baking and decorating skills.   Ages 9-11.

Wheels in Motion: A Transportation Technology Camp

Embark on an exciting journey into transportation technology with this summer camp opportunity at RRC Polytech! Campers will explore hands-on experiences in our four departments: Automotive Repair, Heavy-Duty Industry, Collision Repair, and Outdoor Power Equipment. Ages 9-11.
