Wheels in Motion: A Transportation Technology Camp

Embark on an exciting journey into transportation technology with this summer camp opportunity at RRC Polytech! Campers will explore hands-on experiences in our four departments: Automotive Repair, Heavy-Duty Industry, Collision Repair, and Outdoor Power Equipment.  

This immersive program offers a unique blend of activities, including metal fabrication and painting, providing campers with practical skills in these essential fields. Participants can operate and interact with heavy-duty equipment, gaining valuable insights into the industry’s intricacies. The camp curriculum also includes learning about basic electrical systems and the thrilling opportunity to construct a valve cover racer.  

At RRC Polytech’s Transportation Technology Camp, we will spark campers’ interest in a future within the transportation industry and set the wheels in motion for their promising careers. Join us for an unforgettable summer camp filled with exploration, discovery, and the building blocks for a future in transportation at RRC Polytech. 

Campers will engage in 2-3 hours of hands-on themed programming each day and 3-4 hours of complimentary guided recreation activities throughout the campus. Recreation activities include various sports, arts and crafts, outdoor activities and classic camp games.

Location

All camps take place at the Notre Dame Campus. Supervised drop-off starts at 8am and pick-up ends at 5pm.

Lunch

Campers should bring their own bagged lunch. Supervision over the lunch hour will be provided.

Our Staff

Camp Leaders from Campus Well-Being who are trained in youth engagement and various safety protocols will guide the campers throughout their day. Campers will engage in hands-on learning with our dedicated and skilled staff.
