The students entering Red River College’s Business, Computer and Creative Arts programs have grown up with the latest technology at their fingertips. Our future is literally in their hands – and the College wants to make sure those hands are equipped with the very best tools for success.

Our new Innovation Centre will prepare students for the future of work and innovate the way we design and deliver post-secondary education in Manitoba, Canada and internationally. Using state-of-the-art technology, students will have the advantage of growing their skills while working with the same systems and tools as our industry partners.

Innovation Centre RenderingThis will prepare students to thrive in the growing economy; enable social entrepreneurship and innovation; and deliver job-ready graduates to employers.

Spanning 100,000 square feet, the Innovation Centre will be an atmosphere of constant innovation that will focus on industry-led applied research, entrepreneurship, Indigenous education and social innovation and enterprise.

It will be a dynamic collision space where students, faculty, industry and the community will engage in; concept development, product development, testing, and promotion – creating solutions to real-world issues in a learning environment and accelerating the commercialization of start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises.

Large businesses and organizations will also have the opportunity to work with students, instructors and researchers at the Innovation Centre on individual projects, training and product development. As today’s industries grow and change, these collaborations will ensure our students graduate ahead of the curve and job-ready.

This building belongs to the community. The space will include an Agora, made up of storefronts for student services, classrooms designed for small, medium and large class sizes, student meeting spaces, individual and group work stations – and the 200 seat roundhouse, a multi-use space for events, lectures, classes, smudging ceremonies and rituals open to students and the public.

Housed inside will also be a new collaboration space for the ACE Project Space, where local start-ups and small businesses engage with students on projects that will push their business past a barrier and into the competitive world.

It is up to you to help Red River College make this one-of-a-kind space a reality. For this project to come to life, we have a goal of $60 million dollars.  We’re appealing to donors who share in this vision for the future of education and collaborative innovation in Manitoba. Your investment will ensure a lasting impact of support, encouragement and opportunities for generations to come.
