Natural Resources Canada Program Funding Available for Clean Growth

Natural Resources Canada have two programs that may be of interest to faculty and staff at Red River College.

The Clean Growth Program:
There is $155 million in funding available through this program to advance emerging clean technologies toward commercial readiness so that natural resource operations can better reduce their impacts on air, land, and water, while enhancing competitiveness and creating jobs. It is open to projects from the mining, energy and forestry sectors, and Canadian post-secondary institutions are eligible.
The deadline for submission of LOIs in response to this Call is 12:00pm (NOON) EST on February 7, 2018.
The Canadian Wood Fibre Centre’s Forrest Innovation Program:
This program has $63 million in supports research, development and technology transfer activities across Canada’s forest sector. Universities, colleges, and other academic institutions are eligible.
The deadline for submitting applications is no later than 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, Friday, December 15, 2017.
