We want to shape a better future for our province. Our success depends on attracting the best and brightest students Manitoba has to offer – from our own homegrown talent, to newcomers from all over the world, to people from underserved communities.
Students come to us for the wide range of academic and career programming we have to offer. But it takes more than cutting-edge programs to draw exceptional people. The experience we offer must extend beyond our learning and research spaces.
Tomorrow’s leaders, innovators and change-makers demand an expansive student experience, one that fosters diversity and inclusion, embraces Truth and Reconciliation, breaks down barriers, creates opportunities for connection, and offers physical, financial, emotional and spiritual support – at every step of the journey.
RRC Polytech is committed to upholding fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all people. That means breaking down systemic barriers to post-secondary education: by walking the path towards Truth and Reconciliation, and by reserving space for people from under-served communities – including newcomers to Canada. We work closely with industry partners to help newcomers and internationally trained employees access learning and working opportunities they need to build successful, meaningful careers.
Your support will help us create more opportunities, resources, and supports that help students from all backgrounds and communities access and succeed in our programs.
We believe diversity makes us stronger and drives innovation. We are dedicated to fostering an environment in which all individuals are welcomed, respected and supported to fully participate. Your support will help us create opportunities for international students, and graduate a well-rounded, connected, culturally aware workforce by funding student activities, cross-cultural programming, hosted workshops and speaker tours, networking events, and more.
With your support, we can expand and enhance resources available to our students such as mental health programming, spiritual support, inter-cultural mentorship, access to timely online assistance, and academic advising, counselling, and tutoring.
There are many opportunities to help us enhance student spaces and amenities across our campuses, including outdoor gathering spaces such as our Elgin Street greenspace at our downtown Winnipeg campus, at the very heart of Manitoba business and entrepreneurship, food services that meet a variety of dietary needs, and more.
With your support, RRC Polytech students who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement or other merit can be rewarded with a scholarship, bursary or award. You can establish new scholarships and bursaries or contribute to existing ones. The establishment of a new scholarship or bursary allows you to honour an individual, family or organization by naming an award after them.
By supporting scholarships and bursaries, donors provide students with recognition for achievements resulting in above-average outcomes and the financial resources required to complete their education.
RRC Polytech campuses are located on the lands of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininew, Dakota, and Dené, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
We recognize and honour Treaty 3 Territory Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, the source of Winnipeg’s clean drinking water. In addition, we acknowledge Treaty Territories which provide us with access to electricity we use in both our personal and professional lives.
