And we’re answering the call.
For more than 80 years, RRC Polytech has been charged with moving the province forward. And we’ve succeeded – by working at the cusp of what Manitoba needs next.
But now the world is changing, and the pace of change continues to accelerate like never before.
New technologies. Shifting market demands. Evolving social norms and cultural conversations. A changing climate.
Today, we need to do more than keep up. We must seize the opportunities that disruption presents by getting in front of what’s ahead.
We are calling on all Manitobans to join us as we transform disruption into opportunity, prepare students from all backgrounds to shape a better future, and ensure Manitoba industries have the talent and resources they need to meet any challenge in the years ahead.
Our goal is to raise $60 million to support this bold and exciting vision.
Welcome to the largest fundraising campaign in RRC Polytech’s history.
The future requires nothing less.
To understand where we’re going, it’s important to know where we’re coming from.
RRC Polytech fills the critical gap between career ambition and job readiness – a gap that other institutions aren’t addressing, and that Manitoba employers are demanding.
Thanks to our relationships with countless professionals and leaders who power this province, our College is inextricably woven into Manitoba’s economy, the demands of its workforce, and its most pressing challenges and opportunities.
The result? We produce the highest proportion of job-ready graduates of Manitoba’s leading post-secondary institutions:
Our reciprocal partnerships with industry partners provide students with immersive learning experiences, including applied research projects, making the whole province our classroom. Our applied research partnerships solve real-world problems for Manitoba businesses large and small, and help them compete on a global stage.
We educate a significant proportion of Indigenous learners, the fastest-growing workforce demographic in Canada, by helping them to prepare for their careers, and to use their education to contribute to their communities. We also work in consultation with partners to support Indigenous entrepreneurship, a linchpin for Indigenous achievement in the province.
And we are the best choice for Canadian newcomers seeking to integrate into the working economy in meaningful, growing fields, thanks to flexible course design, immersive learning opportunities, and an array of diploma, certificate and degree offerings.
RRC Polytech’s mission is to elevate people, industry, and community in our province through future-focused polytechnic education, research, and partnerships. Here at home, technological advances and automation are already transforming Manitoba’s industries and labour markets in significant and unpredictable ways. This quickened pace of disruption demands an urgent, agile response.
We urgently need to:
Our inextricable link to Manitoba’s economy has resulted in steady support from our province. But public funding can only take us so far. To avoid the fallout of disruptive changes to our labour market, a transformational investment is required. Not eventually, not someday. Now.
All of Manitoba stands to gain from this investment — from the businesses that drive our economy, to the organizations that provide us with vital social and cultural programming, to the people and families that power our province.
Your support of RRC Polytech will create the change we want to see in this province:
