Red River College Polytechnic has partnered with Economic Development Winnipeg and the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce to support the new Retrain Manitoba initiative.

The initiative originated from $12.5 million provided by the Province of Manitoba for training and professional development and provides eligible Manitoba businesses with a skills development grant program of up to $2,500 per employee (maximum of $75,000 per company) for retraining and upskilling to adapt to the changing needs of businesses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

NOTE: The grant program is retroactive and valid for course start dates from April 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022.

  • Evaluation – we frequently ask for feedback from you and your employees both during and after the training so that we can make adjustments to ensure subsequent deliveries of your training build on the quality of the initial training

Featured Training: Micro-Credentials

Micro-credentials are shareable endorsements of knowledge, skills or competencies gained through the completion of a course or module or demonstration of understanding.

They are also known as digital badges, micro-certifications or mini-degrees, and allow employers to see immediate qualifications for the specific skills that they are seeking.

Due to their flexibility, they provide quick training that meets the needs of employers.

Locations

Location of Red River College Polytechnic campuses offering custom and contract training
Custom and contract training is available to you from Winnipeg, Interlake and Peguis – Fisher River, Portage la Prairie, Steinbach, Winkler and all of Manitoba through our off-site, on-site and online training.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, visit the Retrain Manitoba website to learn more about the grant program and submit the application as soon as possible in order to receive up to $2,500 of government funding for each employee (maximum of $75,000 per company).

NOTE: The application deadline is March 31, 2022 or until the program has been fully expended. Applications are processed on a first-come first-served basis.
