Who is Eligible for Accommodations?

Students who have documented disabilities may be eligible to receive accommodations. Students are required to provide documentation from a registered health care professional (e.g. physician, psychologist or psychiatrist) in order to be supported with classroom and/or exam accommodations.

Red River College Polytechnic recognizes various major areas of disability that are likely to occur among the college population.

These include, but are not limited to:

  • Mental Health Disability
  • Specific Learning Disorders
  • Medical Disability
  • Physical or Mobility Disability
  • Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Blind and Low Vision
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing

  • Temporary, Chronic or Other Medical Condition
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Intellectual Disabilities

Remember that you have the responsibility of providing us with the information we need in order to best assist you. After all, you are the expert on yourself!
