Student Accessibility Services

How to Use the Services

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services establishes individualized support service programs to facilitate the integration of students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. These services include the development and implementation of academic accommodations.

Please be aware that in order to receive these services, students must register with the Coordinator of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services and provide documentation that verifies the disability. Please see our documentation guidelines for more information. For more information on student responsibilities when requesting accommodations, please see the Student Handbook.

The accommodations that students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing are entitled to are determined on an individual basis. Meeting with the coordinator of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services will assist students in developing a specialized and individualized plan for their academic success. The coordinator will make referrals to the various services offered at RRC Polytech and will be available to meet with students regularly to monitor the effectiveness of these services.
