Donor Community

In-kind Contribution

Gifts in kind are non-cash gifts to Red River College Polytechnic that help us maintain quality programs and sustain our infrastructure.

In-Kind Contribution Benefits

Tax Savings

We will send you a charitable receipt for the appraised, fair market value of your gift in kind upon transfer of ownership.

Flexibility

Gifts in kind can be made immediately, arranged for a later time, or included as a planned gift in your estate plan.

Impact

Donating materials, supplies, equipment and other material resources are an easy way to leverage what you already own into a gift with the potential to make a huge difference in the lives and learning experiences of our students.

How to plan for your in-kind contribution

  1. Choose your cause
Transform our learning and research spaces. Enhance our student experience. Advance Indigenous achievement. Amplify our impact. Support a specific program area. How do you want to make a difference? In the form below, be sure to tell us what area, program or fundraising priority you wish to support with your gift in kind.
  2. Fill out form
Our online form expedites the donation process and protects the best interests of both you and the College.
  3. Gift analysis
One of our Development Coordinators will consult with the director, dean or chair responsible for the area you wish to support, and determine if your gift matches a College need and meets all health and safety and CRA requirements. Only Gifts-in-Kind that are considered useful to the College can be accepted as per CRA guidelines. This is as per the Gift Acceptance Policy C5. Gifts over one million dollars must be approved by College Senior Executive and by the RRC Polytech Board of Governors.
  4. Gift processing
If your gift is approved, you will be registered as a donor. It’s important for us to inventory the gift for insurance purposes and to record the donation in our database – even if you don’t require a receipt.
  5. Receiving your gift
Our Development Coordinator will work with you to arrange delivery of your gift. RRC Polytech’s Purchasing Department, the Inventory Control Records Coordinator and the Development Office will work together to help facilitate receipt of the gift. No gift can be accepted at the College, or sit on College grounds at any campus, until these two offices have been involved.
  6. Assessment
Materials Management will formally assess the value of the gift based on fair market value and/or an accredited appraisal.

Once that is done, we will issue your donation receipt – and discuss opportunities to recognize your generosity!

Questions?

We’re here to help you explore opportunities and maximize the impact of your gift. Please contact the Development Office at 204-632-3031 should you have any issues with the form or questions about the acceptance of a gift.
