Early Childhood Education 2024 Spring Term

December 20, 2023

The Early Childhood Education program at Red River College Polytechnic has over 120 students participating in the 2024 Practicum Spring Term.

These students will apply for their practicum term experiences within the sector over the next three months (December 2023 to February 2024). Below is pertinent information regarding the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Practicum Program.

All Early Childhood Education students must complete two practicums within a two-year diploma and are available to participate (work) between May and August.

Practicum term dates for 2024:

  • ECE Year 1: May 1 to August 9, 2024
  • ECE Year 2: April 29 to June 21, 2024

Posting Practicum Openings

At RRC Polytech, we are now using a platform called Career Bridge. This website is a great way for employers to post practicum jobs, as well as permanent/temporary and part-time employment opportunities for our current and graduated students.

Employers should start posting their practicum jobs on Career Bridge starting December 2023. There will be an in-person networking event at the RRC Notre Dame Campus on January 23, 2024, with a Career Bridge information booth. Register for the networking event today ›

We ask our Employers to please sign up and post jobs themselves, as the new platform is user-friendly. Please contact Career Services with questions about Career Bridge and job postings.

Once a job posting closes, all applications will be forwarded to the employer. Employers can then peruse applications, schedule interviews and hire the successful interviewee(s).

Feel free to share this information with colleagues and sector partners. We know the workforce needs knowledgeable employees for the 2024 spring and summer seasons. Our students and their mandatory practicum terms provide a great option for employers to fill that need.

We look forward to working with you this 2024 co-op/practicum season.
