Basic computer and internet skills are required to:
- Navigate your course
- Access online resources
- Communicate with your instructor and other students
- Complete activities and assignments
Technical skills
To succeed in this course, you will be required to do some or all of the following:
- Download, install and update software
- Use applications and a web browser
- Use email with attachments
- Create and submit Word documents
- Send, upload and download files
- Use online communication tools (e.g. chat, discussion boards, etc.)
- Use WebEx for video and web conferencing
Digital literacy skills
To succeed in this course, you must have the ability to do some or all of the following:
- Use search engines to locate and share information
- Produce and save information online
- Evaluate online resources for accuracy and authenticity
- Properly cite information sources
