Accessible Parking

Anyone who needs the permanent, full-time assistance of a mobility aid (e.g. wheelchair, walker, cane, etc.) or has mobility requirements may bring their Manitoba Possible endorsement letter to the Commuting and Parking office where we will work with you to set up an accessible parking permit close to your building.

Temporary permits are also available to allow you to use designated spaces during your recovery period (as certified by your health care professional).

Electric/Hybrid Vehicles Charging Stations

Notre Dame Campus

EV charging stations are located in the South zone (South 1 and South 2) and in the Central Staff-Only zone (Central 2 and Central 5). Only those with a valid power permit or paid daily parking may use these stalls. Once your vehicle is charged, please move your vehicle to a regular stall to allow other EV drivers to use these spaces. Use of these stalls is limited to those with electric/hybrid vehicles. All other vehicles will be subject to ticketing and/or towing.

Exchange District Campus

We do not manage any lots at EDC and do not have EV charging stations available.

Stevenson Aviation Campus

Only those with a valid power permit or paid daily parking may use the charge stall and must be actively charging their vehicle. Once your vehicle is charged, please move your vehicle to a regular stall to allow other EV drivers to make use of these spaces. Use of these stalls is limited to those with electric/hybrid vehicles. All other vehicles will be subject to ticketing and/or towing.

Staff Payroll Deduction Program

The Staff Payroll Deduction Program is available to full-time‑ staff at the Notre Dame Campus and Stevenson Campus. Contractors (Food Services, Day Care), evening instructors, and part-time‑ staff are not eligible.

Program Overview

The program covers parking from September 1 to August 31 of the following year. Payments are deducted bi‑weekly through payroll.

Annual permits do not auto renew. Staff must re‑enroll each year; failure to do so will result in removal from the program. Registration reminders will be communicated through Staff News or sent directly to current permit holders.

Registration Period

  • Dates: May 15, 2026 – August 21, 2026. Staff can register through the Parking Portal during this time.
  • After online registration ends, staff can email us with their staff number and desired zone to request enrollment.
  • There will be no waitlist for sold‑out zones.

Registration Steps

  1. Go to the Parking Portal
  2. Select “Get Permits.”
  3. Choose your zone (Central, North, South, West, or Stevenson) and permit type (Power or Non-Power‑).
  4. Select/add your vehicle(s).
  5. Review your details and email address, then proceed to checkout.
    • No payment is required at checkout.
    • The annual amount that will be deducted through bi‑weekly payroll will be displayed.

Once completed, you will receive an email confirmation. You can also find the details listed under “View Permits” for your reference.

Cancellations

To cancel, email the Commuting and Parking Office and include your staff number. Cancellations are processed according to the bi-weekly payroll schedule, and the final payroll deduction will depend on the date of the request is received. Permits cannot be cancelled if fewer than 15 days remain in the permit term.
