This contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence as of the date of entry. Employees of RRC Polytech and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. Contest participants must graduate high school by 2027 and proceed sequentially into a full-time program at RRC Polytech. If participants have already graduated from high school, they must enter a full-time program at RRC Polytech in the 2025-2026 or 2026-2027 academic year. Current students enrolled in a full-time Certificate, Advanced Certificate, Post-Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Post-Graduate Diploma or Degree program at RRC Polytech are not eligible to enter. This contest is void where prohibited.

All entry information, including the identity of the participant, is subject to verification. By entering the contest, the participant consents to share personal information with RRC Polytech for the purposes of administering the contest and also consents to receive promotional emails from the College in relation to programs, supports, services, news and events.

To enter the contest, submit the Subscribe to RRC Polytech Emails form online before the closing date. Limit one entry per email.
Odds of winning the prize(s) are dependent on the total number of entries received.
Contest opens at 9am CT on September 1, 2025, and closes at 11:59pm CT on August 1, 2026. Entries submitted after the close of the contest will not be accepted.
One $5,000 bursary will be awarded to the winner of the contest in the form of credit towards tuition and other student fees at RRC Polytech valid until August 31, 2030. One winner will be selected by draw by an employee of RRC Polytech at 2pm CT on August 7, 2026, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The winner will be notified within approximately seven (7) business days of the selection via email. The prizes will be awarded by RRC Polytech and winners may need to answer a skill-testing math question in order to be eligible to win. Prizes may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner if: (a) two (2) attempts to contact the winner by email within 24 hours are not successful; (b) if required by the contest organizer, any declaration and release forms are not signed and returned within the state time period. The contest organizer reserves the right to cancel the contest if there are no entries received by 11:59pm CT on August 1, 2026.
Prizes will be awarded by RRC Polytech. The winner may be asked to present photo identification as verification to claim the prize. Any federal, provincial or local taxes associated with the receipt or use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitutions or exchanges (including for cash) of the prize will be permitted, except that the contest organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize. The prize is awarded “as is” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Where disclosed, currency is in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stipulated.
By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless RRC Polytech, and any of its officers, directors, representatives, agents, and employees, from any and all liability from injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, participation in this contest, any breach of these contest rules, or in any prize-related activity. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify the Released Parties from any and all claims by third parties relating to the contest, without limitation.
Entrance into this contest constitutes permission for RRC Polytech to use the winner’s name, city and provinces/territories of residence and likenesses for purposes of advertising and publicity in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without further compensation, notification, or permission, unless prohibited by law.
By entering the contest, participants agree to accept these official rules and any decisions of the contest organizer, which shall be final in all matters. By entering the contest, participants release the contest organizer from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the contest or delivery, mis-delivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize. The contest organizer assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure, or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, or computer transmission during the contest period. The RRC Polytech Ten Thousand Coffees Sign Up 2026 Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored and operated by RRC Polytech. Although accessible through RRC Polytech’s Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and/or LinkedIn accounts, the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, or LinkedIn. Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and LinkedIn are each completely released of all liability by each entrant in this Contest.
To participate in the Contest, the entrant must be a current student or alum of RRC Polytech (see our definitions), and a legal resident of one of the following provinces: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Nova Scotia, or Newfoundland and Labrador; be a natural person (i.e., not a corporate entity); have reached the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry into the Contest; and have complied with the Contest rules as provided herein (the “Rules”). Employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of RRC Polytech, its affiliates and related companies, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, “Contest Parties”), and immediate family members (defined as parents, siblings, children and spouses, regardless of where they live) or persons living in the same household (whether or not related), of each of the above are not eligible to win.

The entry period for the Contest starts on August 24, 2026 at 2 p.m. CT and ends on September 2, 2026 at 3 p.m. CT (the “Contest Period”). To enter the Contest, participants must be current students or graduates of RRC Polytech and join and complete onboarding of Ten Thousand Coffees.
Individuals who wish to participate in a contest may alternately request an entry by contacting RRC Polytech’s Alumni Engagement Office via email to alumni@rrc.ca. Making a purchase from RRC Polytech will not increase or otherwise impact your odds of winning. Entrants may be invited to consent to receive promotional emails from RRC Polytech. Providing consent to receive promotional emails is not a requirement to participate in the Contest. Entrants are responsible for the cost of their connection to the Contest website via the Internet. RRC Polytech does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to the Contest website.
By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by the Rules. An entrant may not submit more than one Entry. If it is discovered that an entrant has submitted more than one Entry, such entrant will be disqualified from participating in the Contest. Any attempt or suspected attempt by an entrant to submit more than one Entry by using multiple email addresses or any other means will void all Entries for such entrant. Entries that are late, lost, incomprehensible, misdirected, contain an erroneous phone and/or email address or that do not otherwise conform to the Rules may be disqualified by RRC Polytech. The Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for, and accept no liability whatsoever in relation to, any lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, invalid or illegible Entries (all of which are void). Proof of entry submission does not constitute proof of receipt by RRC Polytech.
There are 2 prizes (the “Prizes”) consisting of digital gift cards – $50 Amazon.ca and $50 Tim Hortons. The Prize is available to be won by two single Prize winners (a “Prize Winner”). The approximate cash value of each Prize is $50 CAD. The Prize will be distributed within 30 calendar days after the Prize Winner has been successfully notified of their Prize and fulfilled the requirements set out herein. The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, substitutable, refundable, assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by RRC Polytech in its sole and absolute discretion). RRC Polytech reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any Prize or a component thereof with a prize of equal or greater retail value, including, without limitation, a cash award. None of the Released Parties makes any representation or offers any warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of any of the Prize awarded in connection with the Contest. Any other costs or expenses, including taxes on any of the Prize, incurred by a Prize Winner in claiming or using their Prize, not expressly stated herein as being included in the Prize, will be the responsibility of such Prize Winner.
The odds of being selected as a potential winner depend on the number of eligible Entries received by RRC Polytech.
Winners will be selected by draw by an employee of RRC Polytech at 3:30 p.m. CT on September 2 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question in order to redeem the prizes. If the winner is unable to answer the skill-testing question, they will be unable to claim the prize and a new winner will be chosen using the same method, excluding all previous winners. The winners will be notified within approximately (1) business day of the selection via either email or telephone. The prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner if: (a) two (2) attempts to contact the winner by phone and/or e-mail within 24 hours are not successful; (2) if required by the contest organizer, any declaration and release forms are not signed and returned within the state time period. The contest organizer reserves the right to cancel the contest if there are no entries received by 12:00 p.m. CT on September 2, 2026. RRC Polytech is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of a selected entrant to receive notification or of RRC Polytech to receive a selected entrant’s response.
RRC Polytech reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to RRC Polytech) for the purposes of verifying the entrant’s eligibility, the legitimacy of any entry, and/or a Prize claim, or for any other reason RRC Polytech deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering the Contest in accordance with the Contest Rules or awarding any of the Prize.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Red River College Polytechnic, and any of its officers, directors, representatives, agents, and employees (the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the Contest. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Released Parties will not be liable for (a) any incomplete or inaccurate information, whether caused or provided by Contest entrants, Contest website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of Entries, (b) any theft, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries or the Contest website, (c) any problems with, or technical malfunctions of, telephone networks or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs, (d) any failure of the website during the Contest, (e) any failure of any entry to be received for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems, internet traffic, or any combination thereof, (f) any damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Contest or downloading or accessing materials related to the Contest, (g) printing, distribution, programming or production errors, and any other errors or malfunctions of any kind, (h) technical, pictorial, typographical or editorial errors or omissions contained herein, (i) anyone being incorrectly and/or mistakenly identified as a Prize Winner, (j) connection with the contest or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize, and/or (k) any combination of the above.

The Contest is subject to applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Rules or the rights and obligations of the participants, RRC Polytech or any of the other Released Parties in connection with the Contest shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws.
Mass Entries, automated Entries, Entries submitted by third parties, and any Entries or Prize claims that are late, fraudulent or delayed will be void. All decisions of RRC Polytech with respect to all aspects of the Contest are final and binding on all entrants without any right of appeal. RRC Polytech’s failure to enforce any term of these Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision.
The contest organizer reserves the right to disqualify any person enters the contest or tries to do so by any means contrary to these rules or which would be unfair to other entrants. RRC Polytech reserves the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw, or amend the Contest or Rules in any way, without prior notice or obligations, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond the control of RRC Polytech that interferes with the conduct of the Contest. Any change to the Rules will be posted at RRC Polytech’s Contest Rules and Regulations page.
