Connect to wireless network – Chromebook

IMPORTANT: Chromebook can be a challenge to connect to the College network. This is quite common for anyone using a Chromebook. You may receive an error message, similar to this, “Error configuring network. EAP auth failed ERROR”.

This process will take patience and time. It is a wait, so do not try again and again. Allow the Chromebook the chance it needs to go through its process.

At the time of this process capture, it took about ten minutes to connect to the RRCWireless network. We suggest you allow enough time for this process to complete, before actually needing the network for your classes.

While you wait for the connection to complete, attend to something else, prep your class work, review your textbooks, and you will find, it will connect to the network.

There are two ways to connect:

When you have disconnected from the network previously

  1. Click the Wi-fi icon with an ‘x’ in it at the bottom right taskbar.
  2. Click the Wi-fi icon at the top left under your user icon and then click sign out, where it says Not connected.
  3. Locate and click RRCWireless.

NOTE: As you had disconnected previously, your account is remembered and will connect automatically.

When you have forgotten the network previously or changed your password

  1. Click the Wi-fi icon with an ‘x’ in it at the bottom right taskbar.
  2. Click RRCWireless.
  3. Under Network, click Wi-Fi.
