About the Fund
Red River College has launched COVID-19 Emergency Student Support Fund to help students who require extra financial assistance as a result of the global pandemic.
Through the COVID-19 Emergency Student Support Fund, support is available for students who are:
- Enrolled full-time or were enrolled full-time, in a full-time credit program that will graduate with a credential (excluding Apprenticeship programs), at the time of the transition to alternative delivery methods for courses and/or cancellation of practicum/clinical courses OR is a current Language Training Centre international student admitted to a credit program either now or in the fall or will be continuing at the Language Training Centre.
- Are maintaining academic eligibility to continue their program
- Can demonstrate the need for assistance resulting from the pandemic
If there are fees outstanding on the student’s account, assistance will be applied to these fees first.
This fund is available to students who require support for costs such as food, housing, internet access for those who do not have a connection as well as other financial hardships as a result of COVID-19.
The new fund has received an extraordinary number of donations, generating more than $300,000 – but more help is needed and RRC is encouraging its donors, alumni, partners and community members to consider a donation to help students deal with the impact of COVID-19. Donate now ›
