Following a review of the upcoming Aug. 7 public health orders, Red River College will maintain all current COVID-19 protocols at our campuses. That means all indoor and outdoor masking and physical distancing policies and guidelines will remain in effect.
As a reminder, RRC’s COVID-19 Policy requires physical distancing and the use of masks in the following places, even when physical distancing is possible:
- All indoor spaces and facilities, including classrooms, labs, workrooms, areas where staff work within two metres of each other, washrooms, hallways, elevators, and public spaces. This includes meeting rooms and workspaces where individuals may be gathering or meeting – even if social distancing is attainable.
- Cubicles and open office spaces where employees are sitting at their workspace. Individuals working alone in a private area with the door closed are permitted to remove their mask.
- Outdoors on campus where two or more individuals gather for a meeting, break, or conversation.
This continued approach aligns with our ongoing response to COVID-19 and allows us to closely monitor and adjust as necessary, focusing on the safety and health of our College community as we prepare for the start of the Fall Term.
