Panel Discussion

AI, Public Trust, and the Future of Communication Management in Manitoba

Two powerhouse RRC Polytech graduates, Rose Regier (Creative Communications, 2015) and Liz Cron (Creative Communications, 2013) – both at Blueprint Inc., – will join fellow panelist Matt Dirks, Managing Partner at Neralake, and moderator Mary Agnes Welch, Principal at Probe Research, for a scintillating panel discussion exploring how AI is transforming the communications landscape in Manitoba and beyond.

New research from Probe Research highlights significant public concerns about AI adoption, including fears about job loss, uncertainty about safeguards, and questions about whether the technology truly benefits society. At the same time, recent research conducted by RRC Polytech and Blueprint Inc. suggests communications professionals are increasingly using generative AI in their work—often without clear policies, training, or ethical guidance.

The panel will examine the growing gap between public skepticism and professional adoption, and the critical role communicators play in ensuring transparency, accountability, and trust in an AI-enabled environment.

Alumni, staff, and students are all welcome – register now.
