This is a second round of the TRX lunch and learn, and in case you missed the first round, topics will cover some of the fundamentals of using the TRX, how it works and it will also cover some new exercises that you might want to add to your exercise routine.
This session will talk about what is mindfulness and what it can look like. It will also address some of the myths that surround the idea of being mindful, as well as few sample ways to practice mindful actions using different techniques. It will also be structured less of a lecture type session and more of a round table where participants will be required to participate in some of the techniques and encouraged to come with questions to engage in more of a discussion type format.
Stretching is a natural byproduct we do when we are feeling stiff or sore, or when we wake from a night’s sleep. We all know what it feels like to stretch but perhaps learning some of the reasons to stretch might benefit. Stretching helps to alleviate a tight sore body, decreases risks of injury, improves quality of sleep and reduces our stresses. This session will show a head to toe stretching routine, how to do it and why it works.

Perhaps you’ve tried to do crunches and did not see any change? Our Abdominals are complex muscles that do more than sit up for us. Most of us don’t realize that our abs do so much of our daily functions. This session will explain the anatomy of the abs, movements of the abs and how to activate them.
Mini Bands are an effective and versatile training tool that can be used to increase strength and stability in the upper and lower body. Mini Bands are ideal for lateral movement exercises, hip and glute activation, and shoulder stabilization. They are great for traveling and leaving in your bag, as well as a good tool for rehabilitative and recovery training programs.
A foam roller is a multiuse tool that can do everything from helping to increase balance, a prop for a deeper stretch, increase range of motion and as myofascial release (self-massage). This session will show you the different ways a foam roller can be used to improve your bodies function and to assist in changing your workout routines.
