Parking Rates

Note: Monthly rates include GST and may change without notice.

Power Parking: $71.40/month
Non-Power Parking: $64.05/month
Hourly Parking: $2/per hour or $8/daily maximum
Evening Daily Parking: $2/per evening starting at 5pm

Parking Hours

Parking rates are in effect during the following hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7am to 12am
  • Friday: 7am to 5pm

Parking is complimentary after 5pm on Fridays, throughout the weekend and on holidays.

Parking Passes

Monthly/Term Permits

Monthly and term (Power and Non-Power) permits are available to staff and students at the Notre Dame Campus. Permits become available for purchase one month in advance, beginning at 12am on the first day of each month, and may be purchased through the Parking Portal or in person at the Commuting and Parking Office (DM19) during regular office hours.

  • Monthly permits are valid from the first to the last day of the month.
  • Term permits cover the full academic term:
    • Fall: September 1 – December 31
    • Winter: January 1 – April 30
    • Summer: May 1 – August 31
  • Permits purchased partway through a month or term will be prorated for the remaining period.

All permits are virtual and do not require hangtags. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Permit holders are responsible for ensuring their permit is linked to the correct license plate and that vehicles are parked in the designated zone and stall type to avoid parking violations.

Permits may not be transferred, sold or assigned to another person. The registered permit holder will be responsible for all parking tickets associated with that permit.

Manage Your Vehicles

Up to four vehicles may be registered for one permit, however only one vehicle may be parked on campus at any given time. Additional vehicles can be added through your parking portal. To remove a vehicle, please contact the Commuting and Parking Office.

Note: Electrical outlets are to be used for block heaters only. The use of an interior car warmer, battery blanket or any other device is not permitted. The power supply to powered stalls is dependent on climatic conditions.

Daily Parking

Daily parking is available for visitors and individuals who are not on campus regularly. This option allows payment based on the duration of stay and is available during standard parking hours.

Rates:

  • $2/hour or $8 maximum per day
  • $2 flat evening rate (Monday – Thursday after 5pm)

Daily parking is available in:

  • West 1
  • South 1 (row facing Angood Ave.)
  • South 3
  • North 1
  • West 4 Overflow
  • North 5 Overflow

All Daily lots are marked with appropriate signage and PayByPhone lot codes.

Payment Methods

Daily Parking can be paid using the PaybyPhone app or visiting the PaybyPhone website. Users must enter the correct lot code and ensure payment covers the full duration of their stay.

Parking may also be purchased at pay stations located at:

  • Bus loop main entrance
  • Building T main entrance
  • Building D/E main entrance
  • Building Z in the student lounge

Note: Parking in a ‘Permit Holder Only’ lot will result in a ticket being issued.

To report any pay station issues, please call 204-632-3755 (Monday – Friday 7am – 5pm).

Evening Parking

Evening permits (Power/Non-Power) are available for staff and students at Notre Dame Campus. Permits go on sale one month in advance on the first day of each month and may be purchased through the online Parking Portal or in person at the Commuting and Parking Office.

Evening Permit Rates:

  • Power: $71.40/month
  • Non‑Power: $64.05/month

Scramble parking is permitted in any zone; however, permit types are non-interchangeable. Power permit holders may only park in power stalls (non-EV plug-ins), while Non-Power permit holders may only park in non-power stalls.
Evening permits are valid from 3:00pm – midnight, Monday – Thursday, and 3:00pm – 5:00pm on Fridays.

Note: Evening daily parking is available for $2 per evening starting at 5pm. Parking can be purchased via the PayByPhone app or at any of the pay stations located on campus.

Contractor Parking

All contractors bringing a vehicle on campus are required to purchase parking. This includes, but is not limited to, all service and sales calls, meetings, and site tours. Any associated parking costs will be the responsibility of the contractor/technician.

Contractors may park in the signed, dedicated Contractor parking area located by M building. If there are no spaces available, you will be required to park in any of the designated Daily areas on campus. Parking in a ‘Permit Holder Only’ lot will result in a ticket being issued.

Contractors that are working at the College for a prolonged period as part of a project may to contact the Commuting and Parking office at parking@rrc.ca to arrange parking permits. All permits are subject to availability.

Any contractor that will be parking an over-sized vehicle or trailer will be required to make arrangements in advance of their arrival by contacting the Commuting and Parking office.

Note: Contractors are still required to register with Security upon arrival per Health and Safety policy. Security will not register license plates.

Diesel Vehicle Parking

Diesel vehicle stalls are located at the Notre Dame Campus in the North zone (North 3 near Z building) and the West zone (West 3 facing Didcote Dr). Please refer to the interactive map for the locations of these stalls.

Note: During the winter season, these stalls are reserved for diesel vehicles as indicated by the posted signage.

Only vehicles with a valid power permit or those paying for daily parking may use these stalls. If these stalls are occupied, please park in the designated permit zone according to your permit. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Motorcycle Parking

Motorcycle stalls are located at the Notre Dame Campus in the Central zone (across Z building) and the West zone (alongside E building). Please refer to the interactive map for the locations of these stalls.

Motorcycles may be parked in the non-power motorcycle stalls with either a valid permit or paid daily parking. A separate permit is not required for different vehicle types. Up to four license plates may be registered under one permit, but only one registered vehicle may be parked on campus at a time. Power permit holders are permitted to park in these motorcycle stalls.

Failure to park with a valid permit or paid daily parking will result in ticketing and/or towing.

Guest/Event Parking

Guest Parking

Guest parking is available in any of our Daily Parking lots. You can use the interactive map to see their locations, marked in green.

Payments can be made through the PayByPhone app or at any of the on campus pay meters, located at:

  • Bus loop main entrance
  • Building T main entrance
  • Building D/E main entrance
  • Building Z in the student lounge

Rates:

  • $8 full day
  • $2 per hour
  • $2 flat rate after 5pm

College-Invited Guests Parking

Arrangements for guests must be made by a College representative in advance by completing the Guest Request Form. All guests will be required to park in the Daily parking areas on campus. Parking in a ‘Permit Holder Only’ lot will result in a ticket being issued.

Event Parking

Event parking may be arranged by completing the Guest Request Form. Once submitted, Commuting and Parking will work with you to organize parking for your event.

Note: Our office may not always be able to accommodate your request as priority will always be given to permit holders.

Overnight Parking

Parking at the Notre Dame Campus between 12:01am and 6:59am is not permitted without prior authorization from the Commuting and Parking office. It will only be approved in emergency cases (ex: vehicle breaking down). Please notify parking@rrc.ca in the event that you require emergency overnight parking. Any unauthorized vehicle left on campus during this time will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Parking Tickets and Appeals

Parkers who receive a RRC Polytech parking ticket(s) must comply with the conditions indicated on the ticket. Failure to pay any parking-related fine could result in the cancellation of parking privileges, and/or the removal/impound of the vehicle(s). For students, unpaid citations will also result in the withholding of marks, transcripts, diplomas or certificates until the amount due has been paid in full.

Tickets may be paid online through our parking portal or in person by visiting the Commuting and Parking office. All outstanding tickets must be paid prior to applying for a monthly permit.

Appeals may only be submitted online. Please note that any appealed ticket(s) must be paid prior to an appeal being submitted , and all appeal decisions are final. If your appeal is successful, the ticket will be credited back onto your parking account. Additional options will be provided in the notification email. If your appeal is successful, we will cancel the ticket and refund the amount paid for the ticket back to you. Learn more ›

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations

To cancel your monthly/term permit, please email parking@rrc.ca. You may be eligible for a refund depending on the date of your cancellation request. Refunds will be subject to a $30 administrative processing fee.

Refunds

All refunds must be done in person. A $30 administrative processing fee will be applied to all refunds except in cases of an appeal or permit exchange/upgrade.

Once the total refund is calculated and the $30 cancellation fee has been applied and the remaining refund will be issued under the following conditions:

  • The permit has a minimum of 15 days or more remaining.
  • The permit holder does not have any outstanding balances owing
