Commuting and Parking

Commuting and Parking

Getting Started: How Parking Works

Step 1: Choose Your Zone and Permit Type

Before purchasing, check the campus parking map to identify the zone closest to your classes, office, or visit. Our campus has four zones:

  • North, South, and West – shared by staff and students
  • Central – staff only

Each zone offers specific permit types:

  • West: Power permits only
  • North, Central and South: Power and Non‑Power permits

Permit types are non-interchangeable. Power permits may only be used in designated power stalls (non‑EV plug-ins), and Non‑Power permits may only be used in non-power stalls. If a permit type is not visible online, it has been sold out.

Step 2: Purchase Your Permit

  • Go to the Parking Portal and click Get Permits.
  • Log in using the appropriate authentication method.
  • If Accessible Parking is required, follow the instructions via the Accessible Parking link.
  • Select your preferred zone and permit type.
  • Verify vehicle information, check all confirmation boxes, and click Next.
  • Review your purchase via View Details. If incorrect, click Remove and start over.
  • Enter payment information and your preferred email address, then click Pay Now.

Parking Tips

  • Always park in your assigned zone and stall type. Do not park in green areas (Daily Parking) or in Permit Holder Only areas unless your permit allows it.
  • Check the online campus parking map before arriving to locate your zone.
  • Parking lots are clearly marked with signage—Daily Parking areas and Permit Holder Only areas are separate. Pay attention to the signs when parking.
  • Parking operates on a scramble (first-come, first-served) basis, so allow extra time to find a spot.
  • If unsure where to park, contact the Commuting and Parking Office or consult the Parking Portal for guidance.
