Recover deleted items

You can recover deleted items in one of two cirucumstances:

• Items still in your Deleted Items folder
• Items not in your Deleted Items folder

Items still in your Deleted Items folder

1. Open your Deleted Items folder on the left-hand side.
2. Locate the email you would like to recover.
3. Move the item in one of these two ways:
   • Left-click and drag the email back to your Inbox or other chosen folder.
   • Right-click the email, click Move, and then click Inbox or Other Folder.

   

Items not in your Deleted Items folder

1. On the Folder tab, in the Clean Up group, click Recover Deleted Items.
   
2. On the Recover Deleted Items menu, select the item you want to restore, then select Restore Selected Items, and then click OK.
   NOTE: You can click Select All if you want to recover all items listed.

   

   NOTE: Outlook will transfer your recovered items to your Deleted Items folder, and then you can move them to your Inbox or to another folder.
