The Outlook for Android app allows you to securely access emails, calendars, tasks, and contacts from the College’s staff email system on your mobile device. If you are syncing your device for the first time, refer to Synchronize your device with staff email – Connect staff email to your mobile device before proceeding.

NOTE: The images used in this instruction are from a Samsung Galaxy. Other Android devices and versions may have a different appearance.

Add an account

  1. Install and open the Outlook for Android app available from the Google Play.
  2. Tap Get Started.
  3. Enter your College user name followed by, and then tap Continue.
  4. In the Microsoft group, tap Exchange.
  5. Enter your College email password, and then move the Advanced Settings slider to the On position.
  6. On the Advanced Settings screen, complete any fields that did not automatically populate using the following settings:
    • In the Server field, enter the server name found in the College email server name PDF document.
      NOTE: For security purposes, only RRC staff can access this document. Do not disclose the server name to anyone who is not a College employee.
    • In the Domain\Username field, enter your College user name followed by
    • In the Description field, enter a name for your account.
    • Tap the checkmark (✔) icon in the top right‑hand corner to add your account to Outlook.

  7. When prompted to add another account, tap Skip in the bottom left‑hand corner. (You can add accounts to your device at any time, refer to the Add another account section.)
  8. Tap Skip in the bottom left‑hand corner to proceed to your Inbox. (Or you can review the Outlook features using the arrow () icon in the bottom right‑hand corner, and then tap the checkmark (✔) icon to proceed to your Inbox.)

Add another account

You can have more than one email account in Outlook for Android. To add another account, follow these‑steps:

  1. Tap the Menu icon, tap the Settings icon, tap Add Account, and then tap Add an email account.
  2. Refer to Step 3 in the Add an account section, and follow the instructions.

Delete an account

  1. Tap the Menu icon, and then tap the Settings icon.
  2. Select the account that you want to delete.
  3. Tap Delete Account, and then select Delete from this device or Delete from all mobile devices.
