The Introduction to Electrical Engineering Technology builds foundational knowledge and prepares you for admission into the Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) program and subsequent Electrical, Electronic or Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology specializations. In addition to building essential skills, this program allows for one-time alternate entry into the EET program for anyone who does not meet its entry requirements.

Through this program, you will explore your interest in and aptitude for these advanced programs and determine which career path is right for you. You’ll also improve your study skills, develop fundamental computer, mathematics and physics knowledge and gain practical soldering experience.

This program provides a foundation in Electrical, Electronic and Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology, preparing you to meet the admission requirements for the Electrical Engineering Technology program. The program includes both preparatory courses and some first-term EET courses.
