Automotive Technology (International)

Build the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to start a dynamic and rewarding career in the automotive technology industry.

The Automotive Technology (International) program gives you the skills to diagnose and repair today’s automobiles. Learning alternates between in-class study, practical shop training and real-world work experience. Classroom instruction will expand your knowledge of automotive electronics and introduce strategies to diagnose engine management systems, fuel injection and ABS brakes.

This program is dedicated exclusively to international students. If you’re not a future international student, check out the Automotive Technician program instead.

Experience a Polytechnic Education

Full-time Delivery: Something New Every Term

In this program, you’ll develop essential technical, entrepreneurial and professional skills and learn to inspect and maintain electronics, ignition systems, engines, drive lines, steering and suspension systems, brakes and fuel systems. You’ll also build your confidence in co-op field placements.

TERM 1

Study the foundations of automotive technology, including mechanical and electrical systems, while receiving safety training.

TERM 2

Develop general vehicle maintenance skills, deepen your knowledge of specific parts and work with a dealership or service station as part of a co-op experience.

TERM 3

Explore electrical theory and develop diagnostic skills in real-world scenarios.

TERM 4

Complete your studies, participate in an additional co-op work experience and receive a level two apprenticeship accreditation as part of your graduation.
