Pathway to Professional English

Program Overview

RRC Polytech’s Centre for Newcomer Integration is now offering a free, funded Pathways to Professional English. The program supports professionals with knowledge, skills, and industry connections to assist them with re-entering their profession or advancing in their present careers.

This is a 12-week workforce development program designed to support newcomers in building careers. This program is job-focused language training.

Winter Term Schedule

Winter term runs January 4, 2027 to March 26, 2027.

Location

Fall Term Daytime classes will be held at the Notre Dame Campus.

Fall Term Evening classes will be held at the Exchange District Campus.

Eligibility

  • You reside in Manitoba
  • You are Naturalized Canadian Citizen, Refugee Claimant, hold Work or Study permit. Permanent Residents and Refugees are not eligible.
  • Your English level is CLB 5-8
  • You are interested in improving your English to further your professional career

Tuition Fees

There is no cost for eligible clients for the program. Check the eligibility list to see if you qualify.

Note: Programs and classes only run if a minimum number of students register.

Fill out the WELARC Assessment Intake Form as part of the application process.

Once your English language skills have been assessed, WELARC will refer you to a language program that fits your needs. If you are referred to the Centre for Newcomer Integration, we will contact you about how to continue with your orientation and registration.
