Programs

Language training at the Centre for Newcomer Integration offers part-time and full-time English language programs for adults.

Refugees, Newcomers, and Permanent Residents

We offer tuition-free programs to Permanent Residents, Refugees and CUAET visa holders for beginner to advanced Canadian Language Benchmark levels. Our programs are sponsored by Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada. Canadian Citizens may also qualify for courses if they are part of the IENs in Manitoba Project.

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada

This program helps you develop your English skills for settlement and daily life. We offer classes for most CLB levels and you can attend part-time or full-time. Terms are usually four months long.

Occupation-Specific Language Programs

Occupation-specific programs help you develop your English skills for further training or employment. This will help you study or get a job in a specific job market, such as nursing or business. There are online and in-person options.

International Students with Visas

Intensive English for International Students

This full-time intensive English language program is for students fulfilling the language requirements for their chosen academic program at RRC Polytech.

RRC Polytech campuses are located on the lands of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininew, Dakota, and Dené, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.

We recognize and honour Treaty 3 Territory Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, the source of Winnipeg’s clean drinking water. In addition, we acknowledge Treaty Territories which provide us with access to electricity we use in both our personal and professional lives.
