Workplace Communication Training for Health Care Aides

Program Overview

Effective communication is at the heart of high-quality healthcare. It improves resident outcomes, reduces misunderstandings, and supports a more positive, professional work environment. This training helps your Health Care Aides (HCAs) develop the essential speaking and listening skills they need to thrive in the Canadian healthcare setting.

An empathetic, therapeutic, and patient-centred approach will be incorporated into all interactions. Learners will recognize, demonstrate, and reflect upon listening and speaking strategies, therapeutic communication, and a range of language structures, health-related vocabulary, and communication strategies geared towards the optimal support of residents.
