Join the Intercultural Partnership Program – Apply Today!
| Do you have a genuine interest and curiosity to learn about other cultures? Are you excited to share your own culture with others and willing to have insightful conversations about life experiences and perspectives? Do you enjoy being able to explore all that Winnipeg has to offer? The Intercultural Partnership Program is looking for individuals just like you to take part in a cross-cultural volunteer experience this term. The program is a fun experience and truly makes a difference in the lives of local and global partners. This partnership program matches Global Partners (immigrant or international students) with Local Partners (anyone with 1+ years in Canada) for a fun and rewarding intercultural experience! It’s a fun way to explore Winnipeg, make new friends, get involved in campus life, and develop valuable intercultural communication skills. Free tickets to events and activities are part of this program. The volunteer commitment is a total of 10 hours of time from February to March. Your commitment includes a 1-hour orientation meeting, 7 hours of partner meeting time, and the completion of a final survey. Once you finish, you will receive a Certificate of Participation as well as a reference letter upon request. Two $1,000 Awards available for partnerships that embrace the spirit of Partnership! You’re Invited to the Celebration of Culture Party!
Please join us for the annual Celebration of Culture Party!
As part of RRC Polytech’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, this event will highlight and celebrate the diversity of cultures represented within our community. Everyone is welcome to share their culture, including dressing in traditional attire. There will be cultural performances, children’s activities, a dance party, and food and light refreshments.
Parking is free for the event.

English Conversation Circle
Hosted by the Academic Success Centre, RRC Polytech / LTC students (with CLB levels 6+) are invited to join the weekly English Conversation Circle to strengthen speaking skills, and build connection and confidence through communication practice.

The Academic Success Centre is offering a six-part online workshop series this term called Building Your Writing Foundation . The series is open to all RRC Polytech / LTC students with CLB levels 6+. The series includes six sessions that will equip you with foundational writing skills for your college success!

If so, you won’t want to miss the University of Manitoba’s IEHP Hub event where you can learn about language training and resources available to IEHPs in Manitoba.
Here are the details:
- When: Monday, December 12, from 6-8pm
- Where: 319 Elgin Ave (Red River College Polytech – Language Training Centre), Roundhouse Atrium (second floor)
- What: There will be presentations from the University of Manitoba’s IEHP Hub and from some of our partners, including RRC’s language programs, The Newcomer Employment Hub, and SEED Winnipeg. Time for tours, door prizes, networking and asking questions will also be part of the agenda, and light refreshments (coffee/tea and cookies) will be provided.
