Jeffrey Rohne

Mr. Rohne is President of ROHNE & Associates Inc., a management consulting firm. Mr. Rohne is a seasoned executive with 35 years of technology leadership experience in a number of sectors. Most recently Mr. Rohne was President and COO of Qunara Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc., where he provided the vision, focus and leadership necessary for Qunara to achieve its mission, while enhancing its reputation in the North American Information Technology Solutions and Managed Services market. Mr. Rohne retired in April of 2003.

Prior to leading Qunara Inc., Mr. Rohne was also the President and COO of MTS Advanced, a leading Manitoba media services provider. The company’s most important asset is the Yellowpages portfolio of products. While leading MTS Advanced, Mr. Rohne was key in the development and growth of MTS’s Internet Services business as well as creating and launching a number of new internet enabled media services including myWinnipeg.com.

Mr. Rohne graduated from West Kildonan Collegiate Institute in Winnipeg and successfully completed his post secondary education with a Diploma of Electronics Engineering Technology from Red River College Polytechnic and a Management & Administration Certificate (Canadian Institute of Management) from the University of Manitoba (Gold Medal Winner). He is a member of the Certified Technician and Technologists Association of Manitoba and the Canadian Institute of Management.

Mr. Rohne has enjoyed an exciting career path in the telecommunications industry. He joined Bell Canada in 1968 in a front-line engineering research management position. His career at MTS began in 1973 working in several key positions within MTS Communications and MTS Advanced over the years. In 1999, Mr. Rohne was appointed to the position of President & COO, MTS Advanced and from that position Mr. Rohne launched Qunara Inc.

Mr. Rohne serves on the Board of Directors for the Manitoba Quality Network and SMD Abitech. He is also a member of the Red River College Polytechnic Alumni Committee and the Student’s Association Building Fund.

RRC Polytech campuses are located on the lands of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininew, Dakota, and Dené, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.

We recognize and honour Treaty 3 Territory Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, the source of Winnipeg’s clean drinking water. In addition, we acknowledge Treaty Territories which provide us with access to electricity we use in both our personal and professional lives.
