CEWIL National Co-op & WIL Day

Student Employment Services is offering 3 virtual sessions to help students prepare for their co-op or work-integrated learning (WIL) experience in celebration of the National Day of WIL!

To help celebrate this inaugural National Day of WIL, RRC Students’ Association will be giving away prizes to some lucky RRC students who attend!

Guide to Finding Co-op and Internship Opportunities
Wednesday, March 24 | 11:00am – 12:00pm

  • An effective job search involves a series of strategic steps to find the right position for you. In this presentation, students will learn strategies and obtain resources that can assist with their search for co-op and internship opportunities.

Interview Preparation: Strategies for Success
Wednesday, March 24 | 12:00pm – 1:00pm

  • An interview is an essential element to securing a job and preparation is key. In this presentation, students will obtain tips on the best interview practices – what to do before, during and after an interview – including how to prepare for virtual interviews.

Optimizing Your Job Search Using LinkedIn
Wednesday, March 24 | 5:00pm – 6:00pm

  • Have a LinkedIn profile but need ideas on how to use it beyond adding connections? In this presentation, students learn how to optimize their job search using LinkedIn.

Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Canada (CEWIL Canada) is the leading organization for work-integrated learning in Canada.  CEWIL partners with post-secondary institutions, community members, employers, government, and students to champion work-integrated learning (WIL).

Each year, on the 4th Wednesday of March, CEWIL is pleased to celebrate the National Day of WIL! This year the National Day of WIL will be on March 24th, 2021.

RRC Polytech campuses are located on the lands of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininew, Dakota, and Dené, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.

We recognize and honour Treaty 3 Territory Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, the source of Winnipeg’s clean drinking water. In addition, we acknowledge Treaty Territories which provide us with access to electricity we use in both our personal and professional lives.
