CAMTT connects with the Business Council of Manitoba
RRC Polytech’s Price Institute of Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics was created in 2024 to help bridge innovation gaps in the manufacturing sector and facilitate local adoption of Industry 4.0 technology, including automation, additive manufacturing, AI and robotics.
In the fall of last year, the Price Institute opened the Centre for Automation and Manufacturing Technology Transfer (CAMTT). CAMTT is a collaborative workspace that serves as industry’s gateway to applied research, tech transfer, and talent for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) in Manitoba and beyond.

Last week, members of the Business Council of Manitoba (BCM) visited the Notre Dame Campus to learn more about CAMTT’s capabilities and how partners across all sectors can leverage RRC Polytech’s vast array of resources to de-risk the development and implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies.
The BCM is a local network of chief executives from over 100 leading companies who are dedicated to the economic growth and community development of the province. The Council exists to make Manitoba a preferred place to live, work, and invest.
“We are proud to be an integral partner in Manitoba’s economic development strategy and excited to showcase CAMTT’s ability to help local businesses adopt and develop the emerging processes and products required to compete on the global stage,” said Dr. Vikram Banthia, Director of RRC Polytech’s Price Institute of Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics.
“We look forward to working together with BCM members to find solutions to their technical challenges and to create efficiencies that will advance productivity and prosperity for all.”
