Set up mobile hotspot & tethering on your cell phone

You can use your cell phone’s mobile data to connect your laptop or tablet to the Internet using the mobile hotspot and tethering features.

NOTE: Whenever possible, use your home’s high‑speed Internet connection before using your College cellular device’s data. This will provide you with better performance and avoid hitting usage thresholds that will reduce your speeds, as well as reduce the College’s data overage charges. For more information about your data use and limits, please see the College cellular device data usage FAQ webpage.

To enable these features, please visit the appropriate site for your device and operating system (using the USB rather than the Bluetooth tethering method will typically provide you with better results):

Windows 10

Windows 8.1
