Set Outlook language and time zone

Choose the appropriate link below, according to whether you are setting up your student email for the first time or changing your language and/or time zone settings.

NOTE: Although you can choose any language and time zone the first time you access Outlook in the cloud, your Instructor might require that you change your settings to English (Canada) and Central Time Zone.

Set up language and time zone during set up

Choose your preferred language and time zone settings the first time you access Outlook in the cloud.

NOTE: The default language and time zone are set as English and Central.

  1. Log on to HUB with your user name at HUB.

  2. Type your password on the College sign in page, then click Sign in.

  3. Click No.

  4. Click Student Email under your Pinned Items in the Launchpad.

  5. Click No again to not stay signed in.

  6. When your Student Email opens, click the Gear next to your user name, on the top menu bar on the upper right-hand side.

  7. Click the General tab on the left-hand side of the new window:
    • On the right-hand side, under Outlook Settings:
      • Under Language, use the dropdown to change the language.
      • Under Time zone, click Change in red font, to update your time zone.

      NOTE: If preferred, toggle the switch to the right to use your Microsoft 365 settings for your Outlook settings.
  8. Click Save.

Change your language and time zone settings

To change your language and time zone after your initial Outlook set up, follow these steps:

  1. With your Student Email open, click the Gear next to your user name, on the top menu bar on the upper right-hand side.

  2. Click the General tab on the left-hand side of the new window:
    • On the right-hand side, under Outlook Settings:
      • Under Language, use the dropdown to change the language.
      • Under Time zone, click Change in red font, to update your time zone.

      NOTE: If preferred, toggle the switch to the right to use your Microsoft 365 settings for your Outlook settings.
  3. Click Save.
