Connect to student email using Outlook app – Apple

The Outlook for Apple app allows you to securely access emails, calendars, and contacts on your mobile device.

NOTE: Outlook for iOS requires iOS 9.0 or higher (these instructions and images were created using an iPod 11.2.5). If the Outlook app is incompatible with your device, try adding your mail account using the built‑in mail app that comes with your Apple product. See the Connect to student email using Apple mail app webpage for instructions.
  1. Visit the Apple Store website to install the Outlook app for iOS.
  2. Tap on the Outlook icon.

  3. Enter your College user name followed by @academic.rrc.ca, and then tap Add Account.

  4. Your student email address will default in on the Sign in page, enter your password, and then tap Sign in.

  5. When prompted to add another account, tap Maybe Later.

  6. Information about Outlook will appear, tap the arrow on the right‑hand side to read the features or tap Skip at the bottom left‑hand side.

  7. To enable notifications for email delivery, tap Turn On.

  8. To allow Outlook to send you notifications, tap Allow.

  9. Your inbox will open and you can access the following features:
    • Tap your calendar or inbox icons at the bottom of your screen.
    • Tap the menu icon on the top left‑hand side to see your email folders.

  10. To access your email settings, tap the gear icon on the bottom left‑hand side of the menu.

NOTE: If you are not redirected to the RRC log on page, you can manually add your student mailbox to your device by using these instructions.

  1. Click Advanced Settings.
  2. Enter your College email address and password.
  3. Enter the mail server as mail.academic.rrc.ca.
  4. Enter the domain as academic.rrc.ca.
  5. Click Sign In.


Add an account

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Tap the menu icon on the top left‑hand side.

  4. Tap Add Account.

  5. Tap Add Email Account.

  6. Type in your email address, and tap Add Account.

  7. Your student email address will default in on the Sign in page, enter your password, and then tap Sign in.

  8. Your newly added email address will display under Accounts.

Delete an account

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Tap the menu icon on the top left‑hand side.

  4. Tap the account you want to delete.

  5. Tap Delete Account.

  6. Confirm that you want to delete this account, and then tap Delete.
