Set up OneDrive in Windows 10 and 11

NOTE: To set up OneDrive – Red River College on a computer that is not your primary computer, refer to the Using OneDrive on a nonprimary computer webpage.

  1. If the cloud icon in the system tray in the bottom right‑hand corner of your taskbar is grey, double‑click the cloud icon to configure OneDrive.

  2. Click Sign in.

  3. On the Set up Onedrive window, enter your College email address, and then click Sign in.

  4. On the Your OneDrive Folder window, click Next.

  5. Click Continue to back up your folders.

  6. On the Get to know your OneDrive window, click Next.

  7. One the Share files and folders window, click Next.

  8. On the All your files, ready and on-demand window, click Next.

  9. On the Get the mobile app window, click Later.

  10. On the Your OneDrive is ready for you window, click Open my OneDrive folder.

  11. OneDrive will be located in File Explorer on the left-hand side.

NOTE: You may also access your OneDrive – Red River College by clicking the blue cloud icon on the right-hand side of the taskbar.

Add an additional OneDrive account

  1. Click the blue cloud icon in the bottom right-hand side of the toolbar.

    NOTE: If you do not see the blue cloud, type OneDrive in the Start menu, on the bottom left-hand side of the toolbar, and then click the OneDrive icon with the blue cloud in a folder. Then refer back to Step 1.
  2. Click Settings at the top right-hand side.

  3. Click Settings in the submenu.

  4. On the OneDrive Settings window, click + Add an account.

  5. Enter your email address, and then click Create account.

  6. Click Sign in.

  7. Ensure your email is correct, and then click Sign in.
