Set up OneDrive in Windows 10

NOTE: To set up OneDrive – Red River College on a computer that is not your primary computer, refer to the Using OneDrive on a nonprimary computer webpage.
  1. If the cloud icon in the system tray in the bottom right‑hand corner of your taskbar is grey, double‑click the cloud icon to configure OneDrive.
  2. On the Microsoft OneDrive menu, enter your College user name (followed by @rrc.ca for staff or @academic.rrc.ca for students), and then click Sign in.
  3. On the Microsoft OneDrive menu, click Work or School.

    NOTE: OneDrive will redirect you to the Office 365 sign in menu. Enter your College user name (followed by @rrc.ca for staff or @academic.rrc.ca for students), and then press the Tab key to be redirected to the RRC sign in menu.

  4. Office 365 will redirect you to the RRC sign in menu and automatically populate the College user name field, enter your password, and then click Sign in.
  5. On the Microsoft OneDrive menu you will see your OneDrive – Red River College folder, click Next.
  6. Ensure the Sync all files and folders in my OneDrive check box is selected (all other check boxes will be selected by default), and then click Next.
  7. On the Microsoft OneDrive menu, click Open my OneDrive – Red River College folder. Your OneDrive is now ready to use.
  8. To access your OneDrive – Red River College folder in the future, you can open File Explorer and click the cloud icon in the left‑hand pane or click the cloud icon in the system tray in the bottom right‑hand corner of your taskbar.

Add an additional OneDrive account

  1. Click the blue cloud icon in the bottom right-hand side of the toolbar.

    NOTE: If you do not see the blue cloud, type OneDrive in the Start menu, on the bottom left-hand side of the toolbar, and then click the OneDrive icon with the blue cloud in a folder. Then refer back to Step 1.
  2. Click Settings.

  3. On the Account tab click Add an account.

  4. Enter your email address, and then click Create account.

  5. Click the blue cloud icon in the bottom right-hand side of the toolbar, and then click Sign in.

  6. Your email address will default in, and then click Sign in.
