Register your existing Android phone using Intune

Install Intune Company Portal

1. On your Android phone, open Google Play Store.

   

2. In the search bar, type Intune Company Portal.

   

3. Locate the Microsoft Intune Company Portal app, and then tap Install. You will see that it is installing.

   

4. Once the installation is complete, tap Open.
   

Sign in

1. On the Company Portal window, tap Sign In.

   

2. On the Microsoft Intune window, enter your RRC email address in this way: username@rrc.ca and then click Next.

   

3. On the RRC Polytech window, enter your password, and then click Sign in.
   

Begin Device Registration

1. On the Company Access Setup window, tap Begin.

   

2. On the We care about your privacy window, tap Continue.
   

   On the RRC Polytech window, it will show it is setting up your work profile.

   

3. On the Set up a work profile window, tap Agree.

   

   The next screen indicates that the work apps are kept in your work profile.
   

4. On the next window, tap Next. Data in your work profile is visible to your IT Admin.
   

   Company Portal will open.
   

5. On the Company Access Setup window, tap Continue.
   

   It will show it is registering your device.

   

   It will show it is finishing the work profile.
   

6. On the RRC Polytech window, select RRC issued Cell Phone, and tap Done.
   
7. On the You’re all set window, tap Done to complete the setup.
   
8. When the Your new work setup window opens, tap Got It.
   
9. Tap Open to see the apps available to install in your work profile.
   

   

Two profiles and where to install work apps

• Your two profiles are:
  • Work Profile – for your RRC apps, RRC email, Teams, etc.
  • Personal Profile – for your own apps, photos, personal email, contacts, etc.
• You will be able to switch between your two profiles:
  • Use the app drawer when you can scroll up or down or tap the app icon itself.
  • Work apps will have a small briefcase icon to distinguish these apps from your personal apps.
  IMPORTANT: RRC can only manage your work profile.

  RRC cannot make changes to your personal profile and data. Your personal information remains private.

• Swipe up on your home page to see the tabs called Personal and Work. Depending on the version of Android installed these tabs will either be at the Top or Bottom of your screen.

    You will know you are in the Work tab and installing a work app, when you see the briefcase icon.
