Fix a failing software install from Software Center

NOTE: If you are not on campus, you will need to connect to VPN. Refer to the Connect to VPN webpage for instructions.

  1. Type Services in the Windows search box.
  2. Click Services in the search results.
    click services
  3. Scroll down until you find SMS Agent Host, and then click it.
    click sms agent host
  4. Click Restart the service.

    It will show it is processing.

  5. Click the ‘X’ in the top right-hand side to close out of the Services window.
    click the x to close out of services
  6. Go back to Software Center to install the application you require.
