The Circle of Friends Indigenous Student Mentorship Program, in partnership with Canada Life, creates the opportunity to connect Indigenous learners at RRC Polytech with industry professionals who provide guidance, support and insight.
By participating in the program and connecting with a mentor, students have the opportunity to build workforce readiness and prepare for career success. The program also aims to enhance academic performance, promote personal development and strengthen cultural identity.
Industry professionals who participate as mentors have the opportunity to connect Indigenous students to the workplace, as well as empower students along their education and career journey.
This program is designed to strengthen students’ academic success, self-management skills, career development, and connection between cultural identity and professional growth while fostering meaningful relationships between mentors, community organizations, and RRC Polytech.
RRC Polytech campuses are located on the lands of the Anishinaabeg, Ininiwak, Anishininwak, Dakota Oyate, and Denésuline, and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
