The Electronic Engineering Technology program develops the knowledge, skills and experience you need for a successful career as an electronic engineering technologist.
Through this program, you’ll develop in-depth electronics knowledge, build industry-standard technical skills and explore various digital and analog circuits applications, including amplifiers, industrial electronics, radio and wireless communications, microprocessor programming and interfacing, programmable logic and control systems. You’ll also expand your career potential by completing electives in specialized topics, including biomedical electronics, communications systems, printed circuit board (PCB) layout, signal processing, computer network infrastructure, internet protocols and other advanced technologies.
As part of your RRC Polytech education, you’ll gain crucial industry experience through a co-op work experience. This co-op opportunity will help you build relevant work experience, integrate your previous learning and create connections with industry partners and employers. You’ll also build professional documentation, quality control, project management and collaboration skills to enhance your employment potential and prepare for a successful career.
After completing Electrical Engineering Technology’s first common year (Terms 1 to 3), you can choose to specialize in Electronic Engineering Technology. Through this program, you will develop the professional skills needed to design, build, test and adapt digital and analog circuits.
