The Manitoba Tourism Education Council (MTEC) is thrilled to announce the employABILITY Expo will run in 2021 as a virtual event!

The employABILITY Expo is an integral part of the Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM) in Manitoba. The employABILITY Expo is for career-minded people with disabilities! If you are engaged in the workforce or want to be, join the Expo to find out more!

Open House at Neo Financial – October 5

October 4, 2021

Join Neo Financial at their Winnipeg head office to check out the space, learn about open roles, and hear from a co-founder. There will also be opportunities to mingle and ask questions.

Are you interested in learning more about a career as a Power Electrician or Mechanical Technician with Manitoba Hydro? Join us at the upcoming Manitoba Hydro information session!

Manitoba Hydro – Virtual Trades Information Session

Thursday, September 23, 2021
6:00 pm

Content will include an overview of our Power Electrician/ Mechanical Technician pre-placement programs. These paid positions offer the trades experience and academic upgrading needed to compete for a future career in Manitoba Hydro’s Power Electrician or Mechanical Technician Training programs (4 year apprenticeships).

You will hear from employees currently working in these trades, including their experiences as trainees, and be able to ask them questions throughout the session.  You can join with an internet browser to view the video or by telephone (audio only).

Virtual Indigenous Student Recruitment Gathering – Department of National Defence, Sept. 22, 2021

This gathering is for Indigenous students across Canada who are interested in civilian student employment opportunities at DND. DND is recruiting Indigenous students to join the Defence Team this Fall/Winter session and beyond!

  • Provide an opportunity for DND staff to share general information about DND Careers, student bridging and your future within DND!

DND has a renewed commitment to reconciliation. DND is honoured to lead this event which is a catalyst to supporting Indigenous youth, such as yourself, towards careers in your field of choice. No previous government experience is required.
