Job Fair: Manitoba Canoe and Kayak Centre – Feb 19

Looking for a great opportunity to work outdoors with friends on the river?  The Manitoba Canoe and Kayak Center is recruiting for their summer seasonal positions to coach and lead paddling programs, which run from May to September. Gain unique job experience running fun events such as dragon boat festivals, summer camps, and Manitoba cups!

Earn $1400 for completing a project through Level UP

Level UP is an innovative Work-Integrated Learning program powered by Riipen and sponsored by the Government of Canada to prepare students in post-secondary education and employers (or organizations) to thrive in the future of work.

Earn $1,400 per person for completing a project, whether in a group or solo.

Students, individually or in groups, connect with organizations for short term paid projects that help them gain relevant work experiences, build professional networks, gain career clarity and develop skills.

Projects must be completed by March 31, 2022 so request for access by January 21, 2022, 11:59 pm ET to be invited to participate.

Eligibility requirements

You must fit all of the following criteria:

  • Be a current student at RRC Polytech
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, and
  • Are legally entitled to work in Canada

At this time, students with temporary residency status are not eligible for Level UP

Virtual Information Session Dec 9- Manitoba Hydro is Hiring Power Line Technicians and Pre-placement Trainees

Manitoba Hydro is accepting applications now through December 23 for Power Line Technicians and Pre-placement trainees.

Power line technicians (PLT) build and maintain electrical systems used to transmit and distribute power. The PLT training program is a four-year paid apprenticeship that includes on-the-job training and 10 weeks of trade schools.
