Open House 2010 benefits visitors in many ways:
Awareness
Unlike an off-campus Open House, Expo allows programs to display everything they have to offer. Prospective students can get a real sense of the college environment.
Access
Instead of just reading about the College in a brochure, visitors can see the campus and interact with students and staff.
Decision-Making
Surveys completed by post-secondary students across North America indicate a campus visit is one of the most important factors in their decision-making process. A first-hand look can help prospective students determine their ‘fit’ with the campus and academic programs.
Getting Started
Plan your visit by checking out the program areas participating at each campus so that you ensure that you visit the applicable campus.
If you are a school who is bussing in for this event, be sure to register for Open House prior to January 29, 2010.

Visitor’s Guide
College staff and Open House 2010 Visitor Guides will be available to help visitors make the most of their visit. This guide is also where you will find your Visitor’s Passport. Pick this up from “Red River College Customs” on the day of the event. This is also where you will find a listing of interactive activities and open workspaces.
The Passport
Experience Red River College for yourself... and get rewarded for it! Open your Visitor Guide to the middle page to find your passport identifying several interactive activities that you can participate in. This is a great opportunity for prospective students to learn about a variety of program areas. Get a stamp for every interactive activity that you participate in... including taking a Campus Tour. Fill out the bottom of your passport, submit it at "Red River College Customs" and receive ballots for every activity you have participated in. There will be fabulous prizes awarded throughout the day!
RRC Exhibit Halls
Visit the RRC Program Exhibitors at each Campus (Princess Street Campus - Atrium and Notre Dame Campus – North Gym) and have the opportunity to speak face to face to representatives from the different program areas. Check out who will be there to see which program areas will be at which campus. This is your opportunity to ask specific questions to those representatives and learn more about these programs. Many of the exhibitors will have interactive activities for you to participate in earning you a stamp on your Passport! Each stamp represents an entry into a draw for prizes!
Guided and Self-Guided Tours
Open House Student Ambassadors will lead tours throughout the event. The ambassadors will also inform and direct visitors who are planning their own tour itineraries.
Information Sessions
Presentations will be offered by many College programs. The sessions will take place in several venues, including lecture theatres, labs and classrooms. Presentations will be offered in many forms, including orientation sessions and student panels.
Admissions Counselling
Visitors can learn more about admissions procedures from the experts on campus! College staff will be available throughout the event to answer questions on applications, special selection criteria, awards and financial aid, and support services. Applications for 2010 programs can be completed and submitted throughout the day. In addition, staff and students from many programs will be available to answer questions.
