International Student Emergency Health Plan

Red River College is committed to providing all international students with access to an affordable, comprehensive and easy to use health plan. As an international student registered in our Intensive English for International Students (IEIS) or an academic program at RRC, you will receive a health insurance plan called International Student Emergency Health Plan provided by Gallivan: Student Health and Wellness.

All international students in Manitoba are responsible for obtaining and financing their healthcare benefits. Red River College’s International Student Emergency Health Plan provides you with benefits that are similar to the Manitoba Health Insurance. This means that included in your RRC fees, you will be paying for this insurance, and you do not need to worry about finding another plan.

You will be automatically enrolled for health insurance and charged the mandatory fees once you start your program. A representative from Gallivan will be in touch with you to provide further information and details on your coverage.

If You’re Coming to Study in Canada With Family Members

This insurance plan does not cover your eligible dependent family members. Should you require additional coverage for your family, you will need to make your own arrangements.

You can contact Gallivan for further information.
