Reminder – Study Permit Deadline and Refund Policy
As previously shared, for the Fall 2021 intake, Red River College will be delivering the programs in three different formats:
- Blended Essential
- Blended Enriched
- Online
You can check the delivery method by program here.
Blended-Essential Programs consist of a combination of online and on-campus studies. Students are required to be in Winnipeg with a valid Study Permit to attend these mandatory on-campus components. International students must provide a Study Permit approval letter or a valid Study Permit by August 01, 2021 to international@RRC.CA.
Blended-Enriched and Online programs consist of online studies, with an optional on-campus study component for some programs. International students do not have to be in Winnipeg to take these programs. IRCC has allowed international students to study online until December 31, 2021, as long as their Study Permit application is in process or approved.
If the student chooses to begin their program online, while the study permit application is under process, please note that the international student Refund Policy will be applicable
- If you withdraw before the start of classes, you will forfeit the $1500 deposit
- If you withdraw within the first 7% of the term (typically within the first week of the start date), you will forfeit the $1,500 deposit
- If you withdraw between 7% and 25% of the term (typically with the first month of the start date), you will forfeit 50% of the term fees
- If you withdraw after 25% of the term (typically after the first month of the start date), you will forfeit the term fees
Please note, students will be receiving a similar email that requires a response by August 1, 2021. Please get in touch with your students to ensure they have a complete understanding of the refund schedule.
