Practicum and co-op students
In many cases, RRC has now been able to resume some practicum, clinical and co-op training as the economy begins to slowly re-open. We’re continuing to work with our partners to keep delivering these opportunities as much as possible.
If you have specific questions regarding your practicums or co-ops, please reach out to your program for more information.
Red River College has developed a Flexible Online Delivery Model to ensure that in spite of the pandemic, the quality of our online teaching and learning continues to meet the high standards that set RRC apart.
We recognize that for some of our programs, hands-on learning and training are essential. We’ll continue offering critical hands-on training on campus this fall – but in a modified way. Our team has worked hard to assess all our spaces to ensure we can offer hands-on learning while still complying with public health guidelines.

Using collaboration apps safely
We’re all working differently as we adapt to online learning — and that includes using new tools like Microsoft Teams, WebEx or email to collaborate with your classmates on assignments. Here are some reminders about good practices for using College-approved application tools.
- Collaboration apps aren’t private. Although the College limits the personal information we share on these platforms, someone else on your team may be able to view your input. Don’t share any personal information you’d rather keep private.
- Collaboration apps are part of a safe, respectful learning environment. Differences of opinion are an important part of higher learning, but communicating them respectfully is crucial. Review RRC’s Student Code of Rights and Responsibilities.
- Stick to RRC approved collaboration apps. This will help us protect your privacy and ensure data security at Red River College. We don’t know how providers of other tools may collect, use or dispose of your information.

RRC has extended its voluntary withdrawal date for students up to and including the last day of the term, prior to the administering of a final exam (where applicable). As term end dates can vary, students are responsible for making sure they know the exact dates for their specific program. For students in the School of Continuing Education, this extension applies to the last day of your course.
RRC’s current refund policy will apply.
The College is committed to helping those students who need to withdraw at this time complete their studies at a later date.
If your program normally permits only a limited number of VWs, that limit is lifted for the present term. Any VWs made during this term will not count towards the total number of VWs allowed by your program.
International students only: Voluntary Withdrawals may have a significant impact on Study Permit conditions and Post-Graduation Work Permit eligibility. International students should always consult the Centre for International Education and Global Partnerships at email@example.com and their respective Program Coordinator for their situation.
